Comprehensive Program
Schools funded by the ASSETS grant receive comprehensive programming tailored to the needs of each individual campus. Through student needs assessments, clubs and classes are formed under the categories of Academics, Physical Fitness & Nutrition, Life Skills & Leadership, Visual & Performing Arts, and Civics & Community Involvement. All sites are also equipped with the following resources:

  • Leadership Council: Student leaders design and drive programming with the mentorship of experienced Site Coordinators and Assistant Coordinators.
  • Drop-In Center: Safe space provided for students to spend time after school
  • WOW Events: Special school-wide events that engage the entire campus
  • Arts Enrichment: Strong arts curriculum at all of our schools
  • GOALS: Outdoor education based leadership development and life skills training
  • Take Action Campaign: Year-long leadership development and service learning campaign in collaboration with LAUSD’s Beyond the Bell and SDCOE
  • Schools that do not have comprehensive programs may still have arc programs at their site through L.E.A.D. (Leadership. Experience. Adventure. Development).
